About the Game
Everything is set in motion when a body—the victim of an unidentifiable disease—is discovered in an abandoned hotel. FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft is assigned to the case. But the crime scene is at the very same hotel where her mother died eight years ago. Grace prepares to finally face the past and makes her way to the scene, but this one case leads to uncovering the hidden truth behind the outbreak in Raccoon City, the biological disaster that shook the world. Will this be the requiem that finally lays the memories of that abhorrent disaster to rest?

Grace who's terrified of her own shadow and Leon who's roundhouse kicking zombies, pairing is absolutely elite. The story gets a bit messy and lore-heavy toward the end, but honestly who cares when the gameplay is this good. Devs really said "30 years in and we're still cooking"

Grace's sections are tense and brilliant, but then the second half just throws all that dread out the window for mindless action set pieces. The story is an absolute lore mess that expects you to have a PhD in Resident Evil history just to keep up. Capcom fumbled a great first half.

Very good game, though not flawless. First half is incredible, second half leans a bit too much into spectacle for me. Still, the core survival horror loop is strong and there are some unforgettable encounters.
