About the Game

Nioh 3 is a dark, action RPG set in a fictionalized version of Japan's Warring States period, heavily featuring Yokai (supernatural monsters). The story follows Tokugawa Takechiyo (who is eventually known as Tokugawa Ieyasu), as he confronts his rebellious brother and embarks on a quest that spans various eras and regions, including Kyoto during the Heian period. A major new feature is the dual combat system, allowing players to seamlessly switch between the "Samurai Style" (the traditional, stamina-focused combat the series is known for) and the "Ninja Style" (a swift, high-mobility combat style with unique skills). The game is the first in the series to feature open field maps, providing players with more freedom to explore and tackle challenges non-linearly.
